SUFI AND SHINTAIDO WAYS OF THE BODY
Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd of July 2006

Almost every spiritual system has a method of working with the body to explore and to achieve practical experience of body, mind and soul. Bodywork can be a first door to our essential nature. In this workshop we will experience ways of the body in the perspectives of Shintaido and Sufism. Contents of the seminar will be:

From Sufism:

  1. "Al-Haraka Al-Muqaddas"
    Introduction to Sufism and basic instruction in sacred body movement.
  2. "Dhikr"
    Chanting and the synergy of movement, voice and breath
  3. "Sama – art of whirling"
    Sama is known as the whirling of the dervish in the western world.

From Shintaido:

  1. "Tenshingoso"
    Tenshingoso is one essential form in Shintaido. This form is the essence of attack and defense in martial art.
  2. "Wakame"
    In this exercise we can experience unity in the relationship of you and me. which is also a very important point in martial art.
  3. "Jion, Muso, Kongo, Joshin"
    Introduction to four kind of meditation and their special qualities.

Time:
Saturday and Sunday. Work from 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. Meeting at 12.40 p.m.

For early registration Yen 12.000 or more must be received until July 14th.
For late registration Yen 12.000 or more must be received until July 21st.

Hotel New Kama optional/ Yen 7000 for a 4 Person room, Yen 7500 for a 2 person room, excl. Food. If you wish to stay please give us your O.K. with your reservation until July 10th.
