SUFI WAYS OF HEALING
Saturday 29. and Sunday 30. of July 2006

To be cured means more than to be free of Illness. To be healed means for a human being to be complete and to re discover the union with our creation. Every human being is traveling on the way to this union, but sometimes with a lot of unconscious effort. In our heart we carry the wish to heal others and ourselves. This is a kind of responsibility that we share with all humanity.

What are the bases for real healing? The first step is a profound introspection in to the body, spirit and soul of the healer.

Who wants to heal has to start with him/herself. To be able to do well to others the healer has to take care of his/her own well-being. The spirit of the healer must be directed and attuned to the person that receives healing, but the healer must be able to maintain the proper space and protection between him/herself and the other person. The presence of the healer must be emphatic and the intention must be clear and selfless.

Finally we realize that there is no such a thing as a healer and a person to be healed. Both parties involved in the healing process are receiving cure on their specific level.

Sufi Bodywork, singing, dancing as well as specific techniques from the Martial Arts are applied to show the way to integration and completeness.
